*** Northwest Shuttle - The Weber County Transportation Unit is the Hub Agency and Co-coordinator for the State of Utah. This is a cooperative effort by involved agencies to move fugitives and reduce extradition costs to individual agencies and Western States. The transportation unit moved 547 fugitives on the Northwest Shuttle in 2015. 63 fugitives were returned to the State of Utah via the shuttle. This results in an average savings of $5000 per fugitive or $315,000 vs. traditional means of extradition.
