A. Weber County residents are being asked to vote on whether to renew a 0.1% sales tax on qualifying purchases to fund botanical, cultural, recreational, and zoological organizations and facilities (commonly referred to as the RAMP tax) for an additional 10 years.

A. The RAMP tax is a 0.1% sales tax that was first approved by Weber County voters in 2004. It helps fund botanical, cultural, recreational, and zoological organizations and facilities in the county.
Q. When was the RAMP tax last renewed?
A. The RAMP tax was renewed in 2014. Now, it is up for renewal again, and Weber County voters will decide whether to extend it for another 10 years.
Q. What is the exact question on the ballot?
A. The ballot will ask: "Shall Weber County be authorized to impose a .1% sales and use tax to fund cultural facilities, recreational facilities, and zoological facilities, botanical organizations, cultural organizations, and zoological organizations?”
