On Tuesday, May 28, 2024, the Weber County Commission approved a resolution authorizing the submission of an opinion question to renew the 0.1% sales tax to fund botanical, cultural, recreational, and zoological organizations and facilities (RAMP). The notice was received by the Weber County Clerk/Auditor and will be placed on the 2024 General Election ballot on November 5, 2024. The election will address the renewal of the RAMP tax for an additional 10 years. The question is being placed on the ballot as follows:
Shall Weber County be authorized to impose a .1% sales and use tax to fund cultural facilities, recreational facilities, and zoological facilities, botanical organizations, cultural organizations, and zoological organizations, and rural radio stations?
Eligible voters may submit a request to write an argument against the RAMP Tax renewal to the Weber County Clerk/Auditor no later than September 13, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. Requests may be submitted via this link: https://form.jotform.com/242495940026155
