OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF WEBER COUNTY
Tuesday, March 16, 2010 - 10:00 a.m.

In accordance with the requirements of Utah Code Annotated Section 52-4-7(1)(d), the County Clerk records in the minutes the names of all citizens who appear and speak at a County Commission meeting and the substance “in brief” of their comments. D. Consent Items:
1. Purchase Orders in the amount of $95,898.74

4. Retirement agreement with Craig D. Storey - Contract C2010-47
5. Surplus a Sharp Digital Laser Copier from the Clerk/Auditors Office

Commissioner Zogmaister moved to approve the consent items; Commissioner Dearden seconded, all voting aye.
E. Action Items:
1. Contract with Huntsville Town to work together on goals and objectives of the Ogden Valley South Fork Wastewater Study - Contract C2010-48
Curtis Christensen, County Engineer, stated that this study would look at the possibility of wastewater collection/treatment for the southern portion of Ogden Valley. The funding is coming from the State, and the Commission signed a contract for this funding on 1/26/2010.
Commissioner Dearden moved to approve Contract C2010-48 with Huntsville Town to work together on goals and objectives of the Ogden Valley South Fork Wastewater Study; Commissioner Zogmaister seconded, all voting aye.
2. Contract with Wooden Creations for Mark Colp, Wooden Creations, to provide chainsaw carvings at the 2010 Weber County Fair - Contract C2010-49
Jan Wilson, County Fair, presented this contract, which is in the amount of $3,800.
Commissioner Zogmaister moved to approve Contract C2010-49 with Wooden Creations for Mark Colp, of Wooden Creations, to provide chainsaw carvings at the 2010 Weber County Fair; Commissioner Dearden seconded, all voting aye.
3. Contract with Shawn Paulson, hypnotist, to perform at the 2010 Weber County Fair - Contract C2010-50
Jan Wilson, County Fair, presented this contract, which is in the amount of $2,000.
Commissioner Dearden moved to approve Contract C2010-50 with Shawn Paulson, hypnotist, to perform at the 2010 Weber County Fair; Commissioner Zogmaister seconded, all voting aye.
4. Contract with Great Basin Antique Machinery to have the Great Basin Antique Machinery at the 2010 Weber County Fair - Contract C2010-51
Jan Wilson, County Fair, presented this contract, which is in the amount of $800.
Commissioner Zogmaister moved to approve Contract C2010-51 with Great Basin Antique Machinery to have farm machinery at the 2010 Weber County Fair; Commissioner Dearden seconded, all voting aye.
5. Contract with Brown’s Amusements, Inc. to provide a carnival at the 2010 Weber County Fair - Contract C2010-52
Jan Wilson, County Fair, stated that Brown pays the county 15% of their sales, up to the first $20,000, and 20% thereafter.
Commissioner Zogmaister moved to approve Contract C2010-52 with Brown’s Amusements, Inc., to provide a carnival at the 2010 Weber County Fair; Commissioner Dearden seconded, all voting aye.
6. Contract with PM Productions Entertainment, Inc. For the Amazing Rainforest Experience at the 2010 Weber County Fair - Contract C2010-53
Jan Wilson, County Fair, gave an overview of this contract, which is in the amount of $8,150.
Commissioner Dearden moved to approve Contract C2010-53 with PM Productions Entertainment, Inc., for the Amazing Rainforest Experience at the 2010 Weber County Fair; Commissioner Zogmaister seconded, all voting aye.
F. Assign Pledge of Allegiance & Thought of the Day for Tuesday, March 23, 2010, 10 a.m.
G. Public Comments:
Sandy Kester, of U.S. Senator Orrin Hatch’s Office, informed everyone that Senator Hatch will be holding a townhall meeting in Weber County on April 7, 2010, 7-9 p.m., at Orion Jr. High School. Ms. Kester left flyers for the event.
