OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF WEBER COUNTY
Tuesday, July 7, 2009 - 10:00 a.m.
Weber Center, Ogden, Utah
In accordance with the requirements of Utah Code Annotated Section 52-4-7(1)(d), the County Clerk records in the minutes the names of all citizens who appear and speak at a County Commission meeting and the substance “in brief” of their comments. Such statements may include opinion or purported facts. Kenneth A. Bischoff was excused.

4. Set public hearing for August 4, 2009, 10 a.m., regarding the adoption of Weber County Zoning Ordinance Chapter 44, Destination and Recreation Resort Zone
5. Set public hearing for August 4, 2009, 10 a.m., to consider amendments to the Weber County Zoning Ordinance Chapter 36-B, Hillside Development Review Procedures and Standards
6. New business licenses
Commissioner Zogmaister moved to approve the consent items; Chair Dearden seconded, both voting aye.

E. Action Items:

1. Contract with Messagebuzz, Inc., for a text message advertising campaign for the 2009 Weber County Fair - Contract C2009-126

Jan Wilson, Weber County Fair, presented this contract in the amount of $2,500.00.
Commissioner Zogmaister moved to approve Contract C2009-126 with Messagebuzz, Inc., for a text message advertising campaign for the 2009 Weber County Fair; Chair Dearden seconded, both voting aye.

2. Contract with T Minus 5 Entertainment for entertainment at the 2009 Weber County Fair - Contract C2009-127

Jan Wilson, Weber County Fair, presented this contract in the amount of $3,500.00.
Commissioner Zogmaister moved to approve Contract C2009-127 with T Minus 5 Entertainment for entertainment at the 2009 Weber County Fair; Chair Dearden seconded, both voting aye.

3. Contract with Broken Heart Rodeo Company, LLC for rodeo services at the 2009 Weber County Fair - Contract C2009-128

Jan Wilson, Weber County Fair, presented this contract.
Commissioner Zogmaister moved to approve Contract C2009-128 with Broken Heart Rodeo Company, LLC for rodeo services at the 2009 Weber County Fair; Chair Dearden seconded, both voting aye.

 4. Resolution of the Board of Commissioners of Weber County appointing members to the Board of Adjustment - Resolution 20-2009

Rob Scott, County Planning Division, stated that there were two vacancies due to the terms of Doug Dickson and Sue Wilkins expiring on 6/30/2009. The Board had recommended reappointing Doug Dickson and Sue Wilkins to five year terms expiring 6/30/2014.
Commissioner Zogmaister moved to adopt Resolution 20-2009 reappointing Doug Dickson and Sue Wilkins to the Board of Adjustment to five year terms expiring 6/30/2014; Chair Dearden seconded.

5. Resolution of the Board of Commissioners of Weber County appointing members to the Weber Area Dispatch 911 and Emergency Services District Administrative Control Board - Resolution 21-2009

Chair Dearden stated that terms of four members had expired. The County Commission recommended reappointing Weber County Sheriff Brad Slater and Blaine Holmes. WACOG recommended reappointing Mayor Bruce Burrows and Mayor George Garwood.
Commissioner Zogmaister moved to adopt Resolution 21-2009 reappointing Mayor Bruce Burrows, Mayor George Garwood, Weber County Sheriff Brad L. Slater, and Blaine Holmes to the Weber Area Dispatch 911 and Emergency Services District Administrative Control Board; Chair Dearden seconded Roll Call Vote:

Chair Dearden aye
