MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF WEBER COUNTY
Tuesday, April 21, 2009 - 10:04 a.m.
Commission Chambers, Weber Center, Ogden, Utah
In accordance with the requirements of Utah Code Annotated Section 52-4-7(1)(d), the County Clerk records in the minutes the names of all citizens who appear and speak at a County Commission meeting and the substance in brief of their comments. Such statements may include opinion or purported facts. The County does not verify the accuracy or truth of any statement but includes it as part of the record pursuant to state law.Commissioners Present: Craig L. Dearden, Chair, Jan M. Zogmaister and Kenneth A. Bischoff.

D. Consent Items:
1. Purchase Orders in the amount of $151,463.35
2. Warrants #249069 - #249258 in the amount of $1,696,685.82
3. Minutes for the meeting held on April 14, 2009
4. Surplus radio equipment from the Sheriffs Office (approved last week)
5. New business licenses
Commissioner Zogmaister moved to approve the consent items, less item 4; Commissioner Bischoff seconded, all voting aye.
E. Action Items:
1. Contract with Weber Pathways, Inc., for general maintenance of trails/pathways that lie within unincorporated areas of Weber County - Contract C2009-100
Nate Pierce, County Operations Department Director, stated that Weber County will take primary responsibility for general maintenance of trail/pathways within unincorporated Weber County. This is not very different from what already occurs but simply formalizes a contract. In the event of major damage to a trail the parties will work together to formulate a plan for restoring it. Chair Dearden noted that it was a 50-year contract.
Commissioner Bischoff moved to approve Contract C2009-100 with Weber Pathways, Inc., for general maintenance of trails/pathways within unincorporated areas of Weber County; Commissioner Zogmaister seconded, all voting aye.
2. Contract with Utah-YAMAS Controls, Inc. for controller system support services at the Weber Center Building - Contract C2009-101
Nate Pierce, County Operations Department Director, stated that this contract was for heating, air conditioning, lighting and other support functions in the building. It is a 5-year contract at $2,542/year which is $420 less than the previous contract. The price is locked in for the five years.
Commissioner Zogmaister moved to approve Contract C2009-101 with Utah-YAMAS Controls, Inc. for controller system support services at the Weber Center Building; Commissioner Bischoff seconded, all voting aye.
3. Request for a Contract with MediCruiser, LLC to provide medical care for inmates
