amend the Weber County Zoning Ordinance to allow Yurts as an accessory to a ski resort and
tubing hills in the CVR-1 zone and adding definition for Yurts to Chapter 18C making them an
exception to architectural standards requirements
Commissioner Cain moved to approve the consent items; Commissioner Bischoff seconded, all voting
aye.
E. Action Items:
1. Contract with the USDA - Wasatch Cache National Forest Service for Law
Enforcement service for Wasatch Cache National Forest - Contract C2006-150
Klint Anderson, Weber County Sheriff’s Office, presented this contract, which is in the amount
of $52,000. The expiration date was corrected on the contract to state September 30, 2007.
Commissioner Cain moved to approve Contract C2006-150 by and between Weber County and the
USDA, Wasatch-Cache National Forest Service, for law enforcement service for the Wasatch
Cache National Forest; Commissioner Bischoff seconded, all voting aye.
2. Contract with Qwest to provide for the passing of PBX extension service data to
911 for location information - Contract C2006-151
Leonard Call, Information Technology Department Director, presented this contract which is in
the amount of $ .
Commissioner Cain moved to approve Contract C2006-151 by and between Weber County and
Qwest to provide for the passing of PBX extension service data to 911 for location information;
Commissioner Bischoff seconded, all voting aye.
3. Administrative Order establishing parking regulations for the municipal block,
generally located between Washington Boulevard and Grant Avenue and 25th and
26th Street
Nate Pierce, County Operations Department Director, presented this order which establishes
parking regulations for the parking lot located on the Municipal block. They include that parking
shall be limited to 2-hours during the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on weekdays, that officers and
employees of Ogden City and Weber County jail personnel may park in the “Permit Parking Area”
for periods of time in excess of the two hour limitation provided that they first obtain and display
a current permit authorizing that parking, and that the areas designated “Weber County Jail” on
Exhibit A of the order shall be reserved for authorized jail personnel only.
Commissioner Cain moved to approve Administrative Order establishing parking regulations for
the municipal block, generally located between Washington Boulevard and Grant Avenue and 25th
and 26th Street; Commissioner Bischoff seconded, all voting aye.
4. Discussion on the request of U.S. Holdings, Inc., to have Weber County act as a
conduit issuer of bonds for the purpose of financing in whole or in part a building
of approximately 80,000 square feet and equipment for the manufacture of steel,
stainless steel and aluminum fabricated products

F. Public Hearing
1. Commissioner Cain moved to adjourn the public meeting and convene the public hearing;
Commissioner Bischoff seconded, all voting aye.
2. Public hearing on a street vacation on Old Highway 166
Kevin Hamilton, County Planning Department, presented the request by Ben Toone to vacate part
of Hwy, 166 (between 11 and 14 ft.) along the west side of his property. The County Road Plan
shows this section as a planned 80 ft. right-of-way. The vacation will leave a right-of-way of only
69 ft.
3. Commissioner Cain moved to adjourn the public hearing and reconvene the public meeting;
Commissioner Bischoff seconded, all voting aye.
