MINUTES
OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF WEBER COUNTY
Tuesday, September 19, 2006 - 10:00 a.m.
Commission Chambers, Weber Center, Ogden, Utah
Each Commission meeting is recorded on CD or audio tape, which is available to the public through the County Clerk's Office.
In accordance with the requirements of Utah Code Annotated Section 52-4-7(1)(d), the County Clerk records in the minutes the names of all citizens
who appear and speak at a County Commission meeting and the substance “in brief” of their comments. Such statements may include opinion or
purported facts. The County does not verify the accuracy or truth of any statement but includes it as part of the record pursuant to state law.
Commissioners Present: Craig L. Dearden, Chair, and Kenneth A. Bischoff. Camille T. Cain was excused.
Others Present: Linda G. Lunceford, Clerk/Auditor; Monette Hurtado, Deputy County Attorney; Fátima
Fernelius, Clerk/Auditor’s Office, took minutes.

D. Consent Items:
1. Purchase Orders in the amount of $291,835.22
2. Warrants #217641 - #217887 in the amount of $1,136,483.25
3. Minutes of meeting held on September 12, 2006
4. Set public hearing for October 10, 2006, 10 a.m., on ZP #07-2006 by Pat/Sherrie Dohrer to amend
Weber County Zoning Ordinance to allow cooking classes, weddings, family reunions and similar
events as part of a Bed and Breakfast in the FV-3 zone
5. Set pubic hearing for October 10, 2006, 10 a.m., on ZP #17-2006 to amend the Weber County Zoning
Ordinance to allow a building height of 35 feet in the S-1 zone
6. Set public hearing for October 10, 2006, 10 a.m., on ZP #04-06 on proposed amendments to the
Zoning Ordinance, Chapter 28, to allow property owners to add property to legal non-conforming
parcels
The commissioners asked County Planning staff about the date and time to set the above public
hearings. Jim Gentry and Kevin Hamilton said that none of these items had been controversial at the
Planning Commission meeting and the hearings could be set for 10 a.m. They indicated that people
had only spoken in favor of the items at the Planning Commission meeting and Monette Hurtado,
Deputy County Attorney, concurred.
Commissioner Bischoff moved to approve the consent items; Chair Dearden seconded, both voting
aye.
E. Action Item:
1. Appoint Mark R. DeCaria to the Weber County Boundary Commission
Jim Gentry, County Planning Department, presented the request to appoint Mark DeCaria, County
Attorney, to the Boundary Commission.
Commissioner Bischoff moved to appoint Mark R. DeCaria to the Weber County Boundary
Commission; Chair Dearden seconded, both voting aye.
F. Assign Pledge of Allegiance & Thought of the Day for Tues., September 26, 2006, 10 a.m.

Commissioner Bischoff moved to adjourn at 10:08 a.m.; Chair Dearden seconded, both voting aye.
