State Code 17-23-20 requires that all final local entity plats be reviewed and approved by the County Surveyor. In addition to the application made to the entity, the developer will need to submit a plat and pay a review fee to the County Surveyor’s Office before the plat review will be started by the County Surveyor’s Office.
The County Surveyor’s Office annexation plat review fee can be paid in person at the County Surveyors Office. The annexation review fee includes two reviews by the County Surveyor’s office.
Final Local Entity Plat Review Fee
$350.00 Includes two reviews |
Submittals from the surveyor who will execute the plat and subsequent reviews from the County Surveyor’s Office will be made directly between the two via email. The entity and developer may be carbon copied on all correspondence between the County Surveyor’s Office and the surveyor who will execute the plat if they request it of the County Surveyor’s Office.
Non-compliant Submittal
A plat submitted to the county surveyor's office for any review cycle which has not addressed all prior comments provided by the county surveyor's office for that plat shall be deemed a non-compliant submittal. The county surveyor's office may charge the surveyor preparing the plat a non-compliant submittal fee, to be paid before the county surveyor will complete the review of the plat.
The non-compliant submittal fee is $75.00 per occurrence.
