Duties of the Property Managment Department
Property Management is responsible for the maintenance of the county buildings and any other properties or assets of the county under direction of the county commission and the Community Development Department. We perform maintenance and repairs to most county buildings including: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, etc. We keep the buildings in good repair and perform inspections to ensure the safety of the public and a safe working environment for county employees. We also provide guidelines for and obtain estimates from contractors and subcontractors who do building and repair work for the county including; writing of specifications, obtaining bids, and overseeing projects as representatives of the county. We ensure that all work done by these contractors is done correctly, safely, on time, and in a professional manner. We also do in house remodeling of the county facilities to meet the changing needs of the different departments. We provide landscaping and landscape and irrigation system maintenance for most county buildings.
