Under the close supervision of the County Assessor, or designated administrator, performs a variety of para-professional and technical work in the collection of data on real property parcels in Weber County.
Field Inspection: Review properties throughout county and inspect improvements, collect data and property information, and calculate square footage and acreage. Correct errors and ensure basement finish is consistent with the neighborhood standards. Collect photos of all improvements on the property and upload to the data storage system in the office.
Data Collection: Organize property data and complete collection of data on the real property CAMA collection sheets. Be able to research history building cards, questionnaires, aerial photography and Wasatch Front Regional Multiple Listings for any additional data needed, missing or required.
Data Entry/Quality Assurance: Complete clerical work into the CAMA system. Ensuring data is accurate to the office standards and accurately unstack the existing sketch to the new policy of each level is sketched separately. Verify clerical work done by others is accurate and consistent with office policies.
Auditing/Train: Assist co-workers in evaluating new staff on processes of data collection, data entry and field inspection. Audit the work as assigned and ensure current policies and procedures are being followed. Communicate with Supervisor on results.
Scanner: Old building cards, commercial property data, sketches, reappraisal collection sheets, building permits, real property transfer surveys, standard residential questionnaire and blue cards must be scanned, tracked and readable into the data storage system for all staff to be able to access.
Questionnaire (blue cards): Print, modify, interpret the reappraisal questionnaire that is left at homes when no one is home. Must be able to update, understand and accurately interpret what the customer is trying to portray about their home.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Some general office experience and cash handling skills preferred.
YOUR SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess a valid Utah Driver License (or the ability to obtain one) as well as a good driving record, and at least the minimum level of auto insurance as dictated by Utah law. Must have the ability to communicate effectively with various types of people (bilingual preferred but not required).
