Weber County is accepting applications from attorneys who are interested in providing indigent defense services for the county in the Second District Juvenile Court. Successful applicants will work as an independent contractor and will be required to represent defendants as required by law and in accordance with the rules of professional conduct.
Applicants must be licensed to practice law in the state of Utah and be a member in good standing with the Utah State Bar Association. Applicants will be evaluated based on relevant experience as well as their performance in an interview held by the selection committee.
Positions may or may not be currently available. Applicants will be contacted when a position becomes available if they are selected for an interview. Applications will be kept on file for 18 months. If you are still interested in a position after 18 months, you will need to resubmit your application.
